About our team 
Our School Performance Cluster Partner Team collaborates within and across BCE to provide specialised, multi-disciplinary support to schools. Our goal is to enhance student learning outcomes through informed decisions and sustainable processes. We offer differentiated support and advice in learning and pedagogy, literacy, numeracy, technologies, inclusive education, engagement, and student wellbeing, with focus on compliance, improvement, and excellence in each school context. 

Summary

 

Showcase your ability as the senior advisor, driving organisational change through process improvements.  This role focuses on providing high-quality, targeted professional advice and support in numeracy pedagogical practices. The successful candidate will work directly with school teams to build the capacity of school leaders and educators, ensuring that the diverse range of learning needs of students are met. This role will support our Primary Schools in the Gold Coast and Inner-City Brisbane.

  • Salary: $137,560 - $152, 836 plus super

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for: 

  • Provide school-centric strategic advice with a numeracy focus to influence direction, organisational practices, procedures, and operational outcomes.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with numeracy subject matter expertise to undertake detailed analyses of areas of priority to determine organisational and operational requirements.
  • Support the development of teaching practice and expertise across the AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teacher, Middle Leader, and Principal career stages.
  • Provide differentiated models of support to meet school needs in learning and teaching, through instructional coaching, modelling, co-teaching, co-planning, coordination, and facilitation of communities of practice and professional learning networks.
  • Analyse school-centric data to positively challenge and negotiate perspectives on complex and strategic issues to support discernment, make recommendations, and positively impact outcomes.
  • Develop strategies to provide sound advice to improve organisational performance by undertaking high-level reviews and investigations as identified.
  • Prepare specialised and technical accounts on significant projects, school support, and research.
  • Work in partnership with school-based role holders and leadership teams providing support specifically in numeracy.

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:   

  • Experience in providing differentiated models of support to meet school needs in learning and teaching, through instructional coaching, modelling, co-teaching, co-planning, coordination, and facilitation of communities of practice and professional learning networks.
  • Ability to analyse school-centric data to positively challenge and negotiate perspectives on complex and strategic issues to support discernment, make recommendations, and positively impact outcomes.
  • Capability to establish, build, and maintain internal and external relationships to share professional knowledge and expertise to deliver on outcomes.
  • Analytical in your approach to problem solving. 
  • Conducted high level reviews and investigations linked to organisational performance. 
  • Worked with multiple stakeholders and leadership teams in your area of specialty. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field and previous experience in a similar position would be highly regarded but not essential.

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:  

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment. 
  • Full registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
