About our team
Our School Performance Cluster Partner Team collaborates within and across BCE to provide specialised, multi-disciplinary support to schools. Our goal is to enhance student learning outcomes through informed decisions and sustainable processes. We offer differentiated support and advice in learning and pedagogy, literacy, numeracy, technologies, inclusive education, engagement, and student wellbeing, with focus on compliance, improvement, and excellence in each school context.
Summary
Brisbane Catholic Education looking for a strategic and inspiring Senior Education Advisor to support schools and teaching staff in navigating the unique challenges and opportunities of rural and regional contexts. This role is central to driving school improvement, fostering teacher excellence, and building strong community and industry partnerships. Focusing on our rural and remote schools based in Laidley, Rosewood, Gatton, Boonah, Yarrabilba, and Beaudesert supporting Primary and Secondary Schools.

- Salary: $137,560 - $152,836 plus super
- Status: Fixed term | September 2025 - December 2026

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Lead professional learning initiatives aligned with school improvement agendas.
- Promote and support teachers pursuing Highly Accomplished and Lead Teacher (HA/LT) accreditation.
- Coach educators in evidence-based pedagogical strategies
- Coordinate the Rural & Regional Teacher Exchange Program to foster cross-school collaboration.
- Collaborate with Cluster partners to support complex student case management.
- Build and maintain professional learning networks to share best practices and solve common challenges.
- Provide strategic advice and lead projects that influence policy and organisational direction.
- Analyse school data to inform decision-making and drive performance improvements.
- Support early career teachers through mentoring and alignment with local initiatives and enterprise agreements.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Leading a variety of projects to meet operational outcomes.
- Analytical in your approach to problem solving.
- A collaborative approach to building capability across schools and leadership teams.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- A commitment to teacher wellbeing and community engagement.
- Passion for supporting educators in rural and regional settings.
- Tertiary qualifications in education and Experience in a school-based Middle or Senior Leadership position (highly desirable).
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
- Full registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
