About our team
The Office Services team is responsible for the provision of a suite of services including venues, building security, travel management, fleet, telephony and mobile technology systems, records management, reception, receipt and despatch and BCE insurance provision.
Summary
Join Brisbane Catholic Education as a Senior Officer – Record Systems and play a key role in strengthening our information governance and records management capability. In this role, you’ll support the development, optimisation and ongoing maturity of BCE’s records management systems to ensure organisational, legislative and archival compliance. You will work collaboratively across schools, Corporate Services and IT to ensure our systems, documentation and processes enable confident, evidence‑based decision‑making.

- Salary: $106,702 - $118,554 plus super

About the opportunity
In this position you will:
- Develop, configure and maintain BCE’s enterprise records management system (RecordPoint), ensuring compliance with legislative, organisational and safeguarding requirements
- Lead the classification, capture and automation of organisational records, including the creation of system processes, reporting requirements and documentation
- Analyse operational practices, identify improvement opportunities and provide insights and progress updates to senior leadership
- Create and maintain detailed procedures, guidelines and system documentation to support continuous improvement of the records management environment
- Partner with schools, IT and stakeholders to optimise SharePoint configuration and ensure effective use of RecordPoint functionality
- Manage user accounts, security permissions, and escalations, resolving complex system issues within delegated authority
- Support stakeholder engagement through training, presentations, and collaboration to build capability and promote consistent records management practices
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Providing general advice
- Creating accurate documentation with a high attention to detail
- Analytical mindset, using data and information to identify areas for improving records management
- Proficiency in Excel and an understanding of Microsoft Office 365 Suite
- Stakeholder engagement ensuring information flow in a timely and inclusive manner
- Experience working with enterprise records or information management systems (RecordPoint advantageous but not essential)
- Providing information to a range of internal and external stakeholders in response to direct queries
- Investigating issues and concerns and providing advice and information in line with policy and procedures
- Qualifications in Information/Records Management or related discipline, or experience in a similar role
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Positive Notice Blue Card for working with Children
- ACurrent Queensland Driver’s Licence, with ability to travel to schools when required
