Summary
The Senior Property and Demographics Advisor – Planning and Development plays a key role in supporting strategic school planning and development across Brisbane Catholic Education by providing expert property, demographic and planning advice to inform future school growth, land use, enrolment strategies and development opportunities. Working within the Planning and Development team, you will analyse demographic and property trends, identify future opportunities, and provide insights that support long-term planning and investment decisions. This is an opportunity to influence the future of BCE's school network and contribute to projects that support thriving communities and exceptional learning environments.

About the opportunity
In this position you will:
- Provide strategic property and demographic advice to inform policy, planning, operational outcomes and organisational decision-making
- Analyse internal and external data to identify future growth patterns, development opportunities and property-related challenges
- Prepare technical reports and committee papers on enrolments, population trends, development activity and future school requirements
- Collaborate with school leaders, principals, construction teams, planners, demographers and other key stakeholders to support school planning and expansion strategies
- Conduct high-level reviews and investigations to support strategic decision-making and enhance organisational performance
- Identify property opportunities and challenges through demographic research and portfolio analysis
- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to share professional knowledge and deliver business outcomes
- Work in partnership with school-based leaders and teams to support planning and development priorities across your area of speciality
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Experience in property research, demographic, data analysis and portfolio analysis
- The ability to analyse complex internal and external data and provide clear recommendations on growth, planning and development opportunities
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across schools, corporate teams and external networks
- The confidence to positively challenge perspectives and negotiate outcomes on complex and strategic issues
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports, research papers and briefing documents
- Relevant tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in property economics, urban design, town planning, social sciences or a related field
