About our team 

The Learning Engagement Team partners with schools to understand their needs and deliver innovative digital solutions that enhance learning and administration. Comprising Learning Technology Services, Student Technology Services, and the Digital Support Team, we manage key platforms, including a digital library, school portals, and bespoke apps that support student learning, wellbeing, protection, and school and parent communication. We provide expert guidance on timetabling, progressive reporting, and collaboration tools while building capacity in Microsoft 365 and emerging technologies. Through collaboration, strategic support, and innovation, we enable schools to effectively integrate technology into education.

  • Location: BCE, Woolloongabba and other BCE locations as required
  • Work hours: 38 hours per week
  • Salary: $133,554 - $148,386 plus super
  • Status: Fulltime | Continuing |Flexible working arrangements available

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for: 

 

  • Contribute to the design, delivery, and enhancement of digital solutions that are user-focused, innovative, and aligned with BCE’s educational and strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with schools, developers, and vendors to translate educational needs into effective, scalable digital tools.
  • Facilitate user engagement through workshops, training, and ongoing support, promoting confident and capable adoption of new systems.
  • Analyse data and user feedback to inform decision-making, track benefits, and identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Contribute to the development of change management strategies to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of new technologies.
  • Champion the integration of emerging technologies, such as AI, to future-proof digital tools that support learning, collaboration, and wellbeing across school communities.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with school communities, promoting innovation and continuous improvement in the use of digital technologies

About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:   

  • Strong understanding of digital technologies in education, including the application of emerging tools such as AI to enhance student learning and wellbeing.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to the development and support of digital systems or products, ideally within an educational or IT environment.
  • Proven ability to analyse data and user feedback to inform improvements and drive evidence-based decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working across diverse teams and school environments.
  • Practical knowledge of change management and professional learning approaches that support technology adoption and capability building.
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree in education, information technology, or a related field, combined with a growth mindset and willingness to adapt to evolving technologies.

 

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
  • Full registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or
  • Positive Notice Blue Card for working with Children.
