About our team 
The Financial Accounting team specialises in managing all aspects of financial and capital accounting, ensuring compliance with legislative and Archdiocesan requirements. We oversee a wide range of functions, including the preparation of the financial statements and the external statutory audit, supplier setup and management, and corporate procurement card administration. With a strong focus on maintaining robust internal controls and financial stewardship, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional service and support to meet all financial needs.

Summary

 

As a Support Officer, you will undertake a range of activities and tasks to support the Brisbane Catholic Education Office. You will bring a passion for provide exceptional support across the team. (Incentives or interesting engagement point). This role supports the successful delivery of the Supplier Onboarding Project by ensuring new supplier requests are processed efficiently and accurately. You’ll play a key role in resolving onboarding issues and supporting project coordination within the Group Financial Performance & Planning team.

  • Work hours: Full-time | Flexible working arrangements available 
  • Salary: $80,318 - $90,762 plus super 
  • Status: Fixed term | August 2025 - January 2026

About the opportunity

 

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Collate and interpret new supplier requests, ensuring all necessary checks are completed prior to approval and setup.
  • Support the Project Manager in delivering the Supplier Onboarding Project.
  • Prioritise and manage tasks, investigating and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Enhancing practices and processes for continuous improvement. 
  • Prioritising workload and tasks, and resolving issues as required.  
  • Drafting responses to enquiries and providing information in relation to procedures, guidelines, and legislation.  
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to address needs and respond to requests.  

About you

 

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:     

  • Having a strong attention to detail.   
  • Proactive approach to adherence to policies and procedures.  
  • Experience in a similar position and possess strong problem-solving skills.  
  • Ability to prioritise workload and tasks, undertaking initial investigations, and resolving issues in a timely manner.    
  • Strong communication skills to respond to enquiries.  
  • Working closely with a senior staff to provide administrative assistance.   
  • Experience in a similar administrative or project support role (highly regarded).

  

Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:  

  • Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment  
  • Ability to obtain a National Criminal History check prior to commencement.
