About our team
The Learning Engagement Team partners with schools to understand their needs and deliver innovative digital solutions that enhance learning and administration. Comprising Learning Technology Services, Student Technology Services, and the Digital Support Team, we manage key platforms, including a digital library, school portals, and bespoke apps that support student learning, wellbeing, protection, and school and parent communication. We provide expert guidance on timetabling, progressive reporting, and collaboration tools while building capacity in Microsoft 365 and emerging technologies. Through collaboration, strategic support, and innovation, we enable schools to effectively integrate technology into education.
Summary
This is a unique opportunity to lead two dynamic functions at the intersection of education and technology. As the Team Leader – Digital Learning and Experience, you’ll guide the strategic delivery of digital learning solutions and library services that support teaching, learning, and innovation across Brisbane Catholic Education schools.

- Salary: $155,351 - $172,606 plus super

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Lead and manage the Digital Learning and Experience team to support BCE’s educational and strategic priorities.
- Oversee the adoption and continuous improvement of digital learning tools and library systems across schools.
- Support change management processes that drive confident and capable use of new technologies.
- Partner with school and office leaders to ensure digital solutions are aligned with classroom needs and contemporary pedagogy.
- Contribute to product planning, service delivery and lifecycle management of digital learning platforms and library systems.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, schools, and vendors to deliver user-focused outcomes.
- Provide expert advice on digital trends and learning technologies, including emerging tools and frameworks.
- Guide professional development and capability uplift within the team, supporting a culture of innovation and growth.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Proven leadership experience in digital learning, educational technologies, or library services within a school or system-level context.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a track record of building collaborative partnerships.
- Sound knowledge of contemporary learning technologies, digital literacy, and the evolving needs of educators and students.
- Demonstrated experience in leading change and supporting technology adoption at scale.
- The ability to think strategically and align team priorities with organisational goals.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, information management, or technology (or a related field).
- A growth mindset and a passion for innovation in digital learning and resource services.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.
- Full registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or
- Positive Notice Blue Card for working with Children.
