About our team
The Customer Solutions team leads BCE's IT project portfolio, acting as the bridge between IT capabilities and customer needs. They ensure that technology solutions enhance customer interactions, improve experiences, and support BCE's growth. The team fosters a culture of continuous innovation through collaboration and transparency, delivering valuable business outcomes across the digital ecosystem.
The Learning Engagement Team partners with schools to understand their needs and deliver innovative digital solutions that enhance learning and administration. Comprising Learning Technology Services, Student Technology Services, and the Digital Support Team, we manage key platforms, including a digital library, school portals, and bespoke apps that support student learning, wellbeing, protection, and school and parent communication. We provide expert guidance on timetabling, progressive reporting, and collaboration tools while building capacity in Microsoft 365 and emerging technologies. Through collaboration, strategic support, and innovation, we enable schools to effectively integrate technology into education.
Summary
Leverage your expertise in strategy and collaboration across Brisbane Catholic Education, driving enhancements in operational efficiency as a Team leader - Student Technology Services. This role will lead a team to collaborate with schools in delivering IT solutions and innovations that enhance learning and build capacity across BCE schools.

- Salary: $150,827 $167,579 + super
- Status: Permanent (continuing)

About the opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that BCE student-related products are meeting requirements including product usage practices
- Advising and supporting technology adoption
- Leading and delivering strategic objectives affecting the organisational direction and goals.
- Managing high performing teams across function areas to achieve team goals.
- Developing, implementing and reviewing strategic processes and procedures including risk planning, contingency and change management to deliver outcomes.
- Managing product delivery and lifecycle planning including consideration of innovations that connect changing needs with technology capabilities.
- Consult, collaborate with and influence a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to share insights and emerging better practices
- Workforce planning across function areas, identifying future needs and planning appropriately.
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Knowledge of contemporary developments, issues, trends, and best practices in the use and application of current and emerging technologies
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team
- Undertaking the development and review of strategic processes.
- Being responsible for the implementation and delivery of strategic objectives and attainment.
- Identifying function area needs for now and the future.
- Stakeholder engagement across an organisation at a Senior level.
- Managing teams across different function areas.
- Tertiary level qualifications in IT or or a relevant tertiary qualification is highly regarded.
Eligibility and Safeguarding requirements:
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
