Summary
The Senior Officer – Student Voice Engagement plays a key role in strengthening how student voice is embedded across Brisbane Catholic Education. This role leads the design, coordination and evaluation of meaningful student engagement initiatives that ensure student perspectives actively inform policy, practice and decision‑making at both school and system levels. Working closely with students, schools and internal stakeholders, you will translate student feedback and engagement data into practical insights and improvements, supporting inclusive, authentic and safeguarding‑aligned participation across the system. The role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, contributing to stronger engagement frameworks, resources and capabilities that elevate student voice in everyday practice.

About the opportunity
In this position you will:
- Provide specialist advice on student voice, youth engagement and safeguarding‑aligned practice
- Design, coordinate and evaluate system‑wide student engagement initiatives, frameworks and consultation processes
- Analyse student feedback and engagement data to inform evidence‑based recommendations and continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain resources, guidelines and procedures that support consistent, high‑quality student engagement
- Prepare high‑quality reports, briefs and presentations that synthesise student insights for senior leaders and stakeholders
- Facilitate student forums, workshops and advisory groups using inclusive and culturally responsive approaches
- Build strong relationships with students, schools and internal teams to support authentic participation and shared ownership
- Support capability building through guidance, resources and professional learning related to student voice
About you
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
- Experience working in youth engagement, student voice, community engagement or a related field.
- Alignment with safeguarding principles and a commitment to inclusive, safe practice for children and young people
- Strong ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative feedback and translate insights into practical outcomes.
- Stakeholder engagement ensuring information flow in a timely and inclusive manner.
- Well‑developed communication skills, including facilitation, report writing and presenting to diverse audiences.
- Investigating issues and concerns and providing advice and information in line with policy and procedures
- Relevant qualifications or experience in a similar role (highly regarded, not essential).

- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
